Hello again

I have been quiet much too long, since 2014! So now is the time to get started again… A friend of mine started a blog on their travels and this just inspired me to continue with my own travel notes… I have so much to write about, so you will see notes on past travels too, and some notes about our home in Suiderstrand.

We have our house now for about 2.5 years and the freedom to come and go as we like to this beautiful part of the coast of South Africa, has been great. We call it our own “island”, at times it is so quiet there that we rarely see any other people, especially walking along the coast. At night the stars are so bright, nearly as good as in the Kalahari! This year has been difficult, because of Covid-19 restrictions we did not get there as often as we like, but had a wonderful two-week holiday as soon as we could travel in our own province.

Though we travel the world over to find the beautiful, we must carry it with us or we find it not.
